What we liked
- + 1.5-gallon glass jar with a 304 stainless steel spigot and built-in filter makes drawing off finished tea simple.
- + Includes pH test strips, a temperature strip, a cloth cover and a stainless funnel with filter mesh.
- + Listing says the kit works for both kombucha and jun.
Trade-offs
- - The listing does not mention a SCOBY or starter tea, so you need to buy the culture separately.
- - A single large 1.5-gallon jar is more than a first small batch calls for.
